Desert SciFi Type Deal

For this one I tried a different "process" to the painting.
Usually I just start with either a line drawing or a black page and then block in the environment with colors and whatnot. for this one I used a lot of lasso tool to make color silhouettes, (orange, blue, black, white, and a little green.) then used the different hues and shades of those colors to carve in the values and details. Then at the very end used so texture brushes and photo texture to add "teeth".

Hopefully that was informative and not just random gibberish from my brain....

Quickies for in between work.

A few quick arts for in between work. I have a lot of stuff I'm doing now and it can be extremely stressful, doing quick thumbnails for no reason other than to paint random colors and see how they turn out it relaxing. No ideas going in just splash color around and see what happens. It's a nice break from trying so hard to impress people and thinking of how to portray something for someone that doing nothing for the sake of nothing feels like freedom. But I love doing it regardless. Oh well, Back to work!

Album Art

Album art I did for a friend's band, check em out if you love some good metal. www.facebook.com/ViscaraBand
To be honest I was nervous going into this project, I'd never done album art before. It was an interesting experience and hopefully one I can have again. I'd like to get better at it, but that being said I am proud of this piece.

Sci-Fi LOTR

I was doodling along drawing a mech scene when I realized the mountain looked like Barad-Dur, and I thought that was cool. So I went with that. LOTR in a Sci-Fi style.Ish.

30min Sketch Paints

Don't know how often I'll post on this subject, but I'll try because it's a good way to be randomly creative when I can't think of anything to do. I just start randomly painting and after 30minutes stop and hope it looks like something. Here's one and more if I feel like it.
sketch based kinda off Journey
This next one took 45min technically... But still.
thumbnails. Only the bottom 2 are related. the first one was just random :P
